Nigeria Football Federation technical committee chairman, Chris Green disclosed yesterday,
that the resignation of Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh has been accepted and all his
assistants have also been asked to leave their positions.
The national under-20 team failed to progress beyond the second round of the FIFA Under-20
World Cup in Turkey, they lost 2-1 to Uruguay in the round of 16 after a mixed bag of
performances in the group stages. Coach Obuh resigned after the team was ousted.
“We have accepted Obuh’s resignation. He is not the only one going, we have relieved all
members of the technical crew of their jobs,” said Barrister Green.
He added that the NFF technical committee will meet next week to review the team’s
performance and also look into constitute the coaching crews of the all the female national
teams.
“We will be meeting next week to constitute the technical crew of the Super Falcons and all
the female national teams,” he announced.
