AKWA IBOM TO HOST GULDER ULTIMATE SEARCH AGAIN!

After successfully hosting the ninth edition of Nigeria’s first 100 percent local content reality
TV show in Usaka community, Akwa Ibom State last year, there are strong indications that
Season 10 of the Gulder Ultimate Search will be returning to the same location.
Mr. Walter Drenth, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc., announced during the week that
against all odds, the the deep forest of Usaka in Obot Akara, Akwa-Ibom State, will again
host the 10th season of the reality show.
“Usaka in Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom hosted the 9th season and it’s
with esteemed joy that I inform you all that the deep Forest of Usaka will again host the 10th
season of Gulder Ultimate Search,” Walter said.
He made the announcement while unveiling this year’s edition which has been tagged, “The
Search for the 10th Symbol” during a special media parley held at the NB House in
Iganmu,Lagos during the week.
According to Walter, only 12 brave and determined individuals will go into the legendary
woods of Usaka. “We will also be bringing back two of the fans’ favourites heroes from the
previous seasons as Gatekeepers, and I can assure you that neither the nervous, faint-hearted
or weak contestants will make it through the hurdles,”he added.
Speaking further, Drenth noted that this year’s edition would feature 12 participants selected
from rigorous screening processes in three geographical zones across the federation. The
cities where the screenings will hold are:Lagos, Owerri and Benin.
The final screening in Lagos, according to NB’s Marketing Director, will produce 12
strong,intelligent,able-bodied young men and women who are determined to go the extra mile
to achieve success.
Meanwhile,winners of this year’s edition, forms for which will be available online till 23rd of
August, 2013 , will smile home with a whopping sum of N10 million, the highest prize money
since the inception of the event, along with a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero 3.0L GLS AT(full
option),courtesy of CFAO Motors Nigeria, the official automotive partners of Gulder Ultimate
Search 10.
The other 11 participants will not go home empty-handed, as they will get various cash prizes
ranging from N3 million for the first-runner-up to N1million for the 12th placed contestant. As
usual, there will be an additional cash prize of N1million for the best performing female in the
competition.
Also, this year, the consumers of the premium lager beer, Gulder will enjoy the privilege of
being part of the search tagged “Fan based Search”, which will open from 2nd of August and
run through 20thj of September. The winner will be presented with a brand new Mitsubishi
Pajero 3. GLX MT at the grand finale of the event.
Airing of the reality show in national terrestrial and satellite television stations across the
country is expected to commence from 4 to 31st of October, 2013.
Organisers of the event also seized the opportunity to unveil the official Gulder Ultimate
Search radio and television commercials that will run throughout the duration of the event.
