As the battle heats up between the faction supporting Senator Bukola Saraki and that supporting Senator Ahmed Lawan for the Senate Presidency seat, the All Progressive Congress might yet be thrown into a battle of wits in the coming weeks.
This will be made worse by the fact that General Muhammadu Buhari has refused to be dragged into the drama. He has refused to make clear his preference for any candidate neither has he spoken out on whether the position should be zoned to any of the contending regions.
While the dust raises, my third prophecy has it that the battle for the senate presidency might tear the party apart given the indecisiveness of the party's NWC and the indifference of the incoming President, worsened by the desperate moves of the contending factions.
We shall watch and see....
